Carvens Lissaint - “Tell Them”

“Tell them I was one who never spoke unless it improved upon silence. Tell them I never moved unless it improved upon stillness.”

Carvens Lissaint was a member of the 2011 Nuyorican National Poetry Slam team, who ranked second in the country. This was his finals stage poem, and one of the most memorable of the tournament.
